The Four Steps, in Detail

Step 1: Complete the request form

Tell us the amount you need ($500–$5,000), your state, and basic income and banking details. The form takes most people under five minutes, and requesting through it does not affect your credit score — the network stage uses a soft inquiry.

Step 2: We match your request to the network

Your request is transmitted securely to independent lenders whose stated criteria it may fit. Different lenders weigh different things — credit files, income rhythm, banking history — which is why one form can reach several kinds of reviewer at once.

Step 3: Review any offers directly with the lender

Interested lenders respond, often the same day, with actual terms: amount, APR, payment, and schedule. Read the agreement using our ten-minute method, ask the questions in our FAQ interview kit, and compare figures against the typical rate bands.

Step 4: Accept, verify, and receive funds

If you accept an offer, the lender verifies your identity, income, and bank account, then disburses funds — commonly by the next business day after approval. Repayment happens directly with your lender; enrolling in autopay on day one is the habit we recommend most.

What It Costs

The Ava Finance request is free to you at every step. We are compensated by lenders in our network, as the Advertiser & Lending Disclosure explains in full. Any loan you accept costs what its agreement says — the APR, the finance charge, and the fee table — which is why the rates page and calculator exist: so you can preview realistic figures before any lender is involved.

How Fast Is It, Really?

Representative timeline for a straightforward request: form in minutes, lender responses commonly the same day, verification the same or next day when documents are ready, and funding commonly the next business day after approval. Weekends, holidays, and document gaps are the usual sources of delay — the FAQ covers the details, and the biggest speed lever is yours: having ID, income proof, and bank details ready before you start.

What Happens If No Offer Comes?

Sometimes the honest outcome is no match. Nothing is charged, nothing further happens to your credit from the request stage, and the productive next step is usually the rebuilding path: a few months of the 90-day playbook changes what the same form returns. Several of our reviewers describe exactly that arc.

Ready When You Are

Start at the request page, or read the eligibility checklist first if you'd rather know what lenders look for before typing anything. Either order works; informed-first is the one we built the site around.
